    Biography:

Hi, I’m Hunter Young, a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern. I hold a bachelor’s
degree in pre-med and a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling, which
reflects how much I value the science behind how and why therapy works. Before
entering the counseling field, I worked closely with adolescents—including youth with
developmental delays and behavioral challenges. Those experiences shaped my
approach and taught me patience, creativity, and just how resilient people can be when
they have someone in their corner.

I’m passionate about helping kids, teens, and adults navigate anxiety, obsessive-
compulsive disorder, eating disorders, and trauma. My work is grounded in evidence-
based care, and I use a blend of therapeutic interventions tailored to my clients’ needs. I
enjoy helping clients understand not only how these tools work, but why they
work—because when people understand the “why,” they often feel more empowered
    and connected to their strengths.

My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I want you to feel safe being
yourself—your worries, your hopes, and everything in between. I see therapy as a
process we walk through together. You are the expert on your own life; my role is to
support you, help you deepen your self-understanding, and build the skills you need to
    move forward.

I am currently working toward my Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) credential
and take a health-first, compassionate approach to food, body image, and anxiety-
driven behaviors. With anxiety and OCD, I use structured, science-based interventions
that help clients face challenges while staying grounded and confident.

Outside of sessions, I enjoy lifting weights, reading, and spending time with my family
and friends. Movement, balance, and authenticity are important values for me, and I
bring that same energy into the therapy room.

If you’re looking for a therapist who is supportive, genuine, and committed to helping
you grow, I would be honored to walk alongside you. Together, we can take the next
    steps toward healing.
