    Biography:

Hi, I’m Kay. If you’re here, it probably means you’re carrying something heavy—and you’re looking for someone who will listen, care, and help you find your way through it. I want you to know right away: you don’t have to face it alone.

My journey into counseling didn’t start in a classroom—it started with my own story. Growing up in a Hispanic household, therapy wasn’t an option. I went through experiences that left deep scars, and for a long time, I had to fight for my mental health on my own. Those struggles are why I do what I do today. I want to be the person for others that I wish I had back then—the person who believes in you, stands with you, and helps you find hope even in the most challenging moments.

    How I Can Help

Over the last couple of years, I’ve had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life—individuals in private practice, men and women in county jail, and clients working through addiction, grief, anger, and relationship struggles.

What I’ve learned is this: everyone has a story, and everyone has the ability to grow and heal. My role isn’t to “fix” you (because you are not broken). My role is to walk alongside you, to help you see the strength and resilience you already have, and to give you tools to move forward. We’ll work on understanding how your thoughts, feelings, and actions connect—and how small changes can lead to big shifts. My style is compassionate, culturally sensitive, and centered around you.

What It’s Like to Work With Me

Clients often tell me that they feel safe with me—that I’m someone they can count on. I take that trust seriously. When you sit across from me, you can expect:

    • A listening ear without judgment

    • Compassion with healthy boundaries

    • Someone who shows up authentically, not as “the expert,” but as a human who cares

    • Encouragement to focus on your strengths, not just your struggles

I love seeing the moment when clients realize they’re not alone anymore—that healing is possible, even when it feels out of reach.

    A Little About Me

When I’m not in the counseling room, you’ll usually find me with my family (they’re my safe place) or with my dogs—honestly, I’d rescue every animal I could if given the chance. I love spending time at the beach, diving into a good book, and trying new recipes in the kitchen.

Ready to Take the Next Step?

If you’ve been feeling alone, overwhelmed, or unsure where to turn, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. Healing doesn’t have to happen by yourself—you deserve someone in your corner.
