Frequently Asked Questions About Anxiety Therapy in Crestview
Common questions about panic relief, worry management, and counseling
How can therapy help if my anxiety feels physical?
Physical anxiety symptoms—like chest tightness, racing heart, and shallow breathing—are controlled by your autonomic nervous system. We teach you somatic grounding and polyvagal regulation tools to physically calm your body's alarm response.
What is the difference between normal stress and an anxiety disorder?
Everyday stress is usually tied to a specific temporary situation. Anxiety becomes a disorder when excessive worry, panic attacks, or fear persist long after a stressor passes and begins interfering with sleep, work, relationships, or daily peace of mind.
Can EMDR therapy help with panic attacks and anxiety?
Yes! While EMDR is famous for trauma, our Level 2 EMDR therapists frequently use bilateral processing to neutralize specific panic triggers, phobias, and deep-seated core beliefs like "I'm not safe" or "I am losing control."
Is anxiety therapy available online via Telehealth?
Yes. While we welcome clients to our Main Street office in Crestview, our licensed therapists provide secure, HIPAA-compliant Telehealth sessions across all of Florida.
